MEET THE TEAM

Dr Shabbir Hussain qualified from the University of Newcastle in 1981 and joined the practice the same year, on the retirement of Mr Morrison. In 1987, he became a partner, and on the retirement of Mr Simmons in 1995, Shabbir took over as practice principal at Churchview Dental Practice. Shabbir has pursued a number of postgraduate interests during his career, obtaining certificates in restorative and advanced restorative dentistry from St Ann’s Centre in Manchester, along with a certificate in cosmetic dentistry from Q Clinic on London’s Harley Street. Through his ongoing postgraduate education, Shabbir is able to the most up-to-date knowledge and techniques to Churchview Dental Practice and takes great pride in enhancing his patients’ smiles.

Since graduating from the University of Manchester in 2006, Rahim has developed extensive experience in both aesthetic and restorative dentistry, while pursuing a special interest in dental implants.
He successfully completed an MSc in Dental Implantology with distinction in 2013. He has worked exclusively in private practice since 2007 and exclusively provides dental implants for patients at Churchview Dental Practice.

Zohaib qualified from Sheffield University in 2014 and joined Churchview Dental Practice in 2018 as an Associate Dentist. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a special interest in minimally invasive cosmetic treatments, using Invisalign braces and composite bonding techniques. He is continually attending courses to further his knowledge and bring new techniques into the practice.
In his spare time, Zohaib enjoy going to the gym, eating well and staying healthy. He loves travelling with his wife, particularly visiting museums to learn about other cultures and different ways of life.

Fazeela ensures that all policies and procedures are in place and up to date. She manages a competent and enthusiastic dental team, providing a high level of customer service and responding to all enquiries successfully in a prompt and efficient way.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and socialising with family and friends.

Janette joined the practice in 2007 after qualifying with distinction from Sheffield University, where she was also awarded a prize for professionalism from the General Dental Council. Since graduating, she has furthered her knowledge by obtaining a degree in dental studies in 2017 from Preston University. Janette particularly enjoys treating children and new patients, and has made a significant change to patients’ oral health and wellbeing here at Churchview Dental Practice.
Outside work, she is kept busy with her young son and in her spare time she likes to keep fit by going to gym classes, playing netball and running.

Outside work, she likes spending time with her partner and daughter, enjoying days out as a family.

Maria came to England in 2005 from Portugal, joining Churchview Dental Practice in 2007 and qualifying as dental nurse in 2008. She has subsequently completed postgraduate courses in forensic dentistry, NVQ level 2 in cross infection, and impression-taking techniques. Her main interests in dentistry are surgical and endodontic procedures and she is the cross-infection lead for the practice. Maria enjoys all aspects of her job and thrives on providing the best service and care for all our patients.
Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and partner.
